We were looking for a band to play for our daughter, Nancy’s, wedding reception in February 1978. A friend recommended Dave Chelini’s band. Everyone enjoyed the music so much that no one wanted to leave, including the bride and groom.
Our flying club, the Sacramento Valley Pilots Association, needed a band to play for our dinners; we called Dave and he agreed to play for us.
My wife, Joyce, celebrated her 70th birthday in 1997 and asked Dave to play at the Eagles Hall in Folsom. Not only did he agree, but he rounded up his old band mates to play as well. Dave also honored us by playing for our 50th wedding anniversary in 2005 at Sun City, Roseville.
We are very fortunate to know such a talented musician and friend as Dave.

Just a note to tell you how much we enjoyed your music at the Gray Eagles Association Christmas Banquet on December 5, 2005. I got good feedback from several people. They appreciated the range of songs from the ‘40s to the ‘70s.
The sing-along of holiday tunes was also well received. Thanks for providing the sheet music with words. That allowed us all to join in and share lots of familiar songs.
Your closing rendition of “Auld Lang Syne” was a warm ending to an enjoyable music program. Thanks for the memories.
